The World of Disney store in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, is a 35,000 square foot multi-use retail space. Illuminart was approached to provide a lighting design for the interior and exterior that balances electric lighting with daylighting design.

Lighting is used to provide dramatic accent retail displays, graphics, ceiling murals and special visual effects throughout the project. A combination of halogen lamps and ceramic arc tube metal halide lamps are used on track systems to accent displays. Warm color fluorescent down lights provide ambient light throughout the space.

This award winning project features design solutions to reduce maintenance and operations costs for the owner. Only 7 lamp types are used throughout the entire project. Photo sensors reduce lighting in areas when daylight is adequate along South facing show windows and glazing systems. Astronomical time clocks dim lights after closing to reduce energy and extend lamp life.
