In the heart of Manhattan, the Disney Store's three floors of retail space each represent a different area within the "animated" mansion of Mickey and Minnie's home: the Ballroom, the Living Room, the Foyer, etc. The interior incorporates many traditional Disney themes and is rich and lively with color. Illuminart provided a lighting plan that maintains the flexibility required for retail while maintaining energy efficiency and the high quality for which Disney is famous.

The lighting is designed to accent and highlight the merchandise and theme elements, while the fixtures remain concealed in the architecture. Illuminart specified a combination of halogen and metal halide lamps for use on track systems to accent displays. For general lighting, energy efficient warm color fluorescent down lights provide ambient light throughout the space.
